Pandora was selected!

It has been a busy two weeks with lots of results and exciting news. Just at the beginning of 2021, our team learned that our SmallSat mission proposal, Pandora, was selected by NASA! Pandora is a very exciting, fact-paced mission that will explore the atmospheres of transiting exoplanets and the activity of their host stars via simultaneous photometry and low-resolution spectroscopy. The mission is led by Elisa Quintana of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and the Project Scientist is Knicole Colón. I will be Pandora’s Exoplanet science lead. Our first step is the “initial formulation phase”, where we will carry out rapid trade studies to finalize the satellite’s configuration. The mission will launch in 2025 – it is very exciting to work with such a great team and on such a fast-paced mission! More news to come soon on Pandora!
